Bornean Spiderhunter (Arachnothera everetti)

About the Bornean Spiderhunter
The Bornean spiderhunter (Arachnothera everetti) is a doubtful species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. The scientific name commemorates British colonial administrator and zoological collector Alfred Hart Everett. It is endemic to the island of Borneo. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. The species is recognised by IOC, but not by BirdLife International. If not valid as a species, it may be considered as a subspecies of Arachnothera affinis or Arachnothera modesta.

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 23 recordings for this species: 2 CC BY-NC-SA · 2 CC BY-NC-ND. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.
As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
