Tropical Pewee (Contopus cinereus)

About the Tropical Pewee
The southern tropical pewee (Contopus cinereus) is a small passerine bird in the family Tyrannidae, the tyrant flycatchers. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay. The southern tropical pewee's taxonomy is unsettled. The International Ornithological Committee (IOC), the Clements taxonomy, and BirdLife International's Handbook of the Birds of the World (HBW) treat it as a species with two subspecies: the nominate C. c. cinereus (Spix, 1825) and C. c. pallescens (Hellmayr, 1927).
