The black-throated jay or Strickland's jay (Cyanolyca pumilo) is a species of bird in the family Corvidae, the crows and jays. It is found in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras. The black-throated jay was originally described in 1849 as Cyanocorax pumilo. It and several other species were later transferred to their present genus Cyanolyca. The black-throated jay is monotypic.
