About the Yellow-bellied Dacnis

The yellow-bellied dacnis (Dacnis flaviventer) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae, the tanagers and allies. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. The yellow-bellied dacnis was formally described in 1837 with its current binomial Dacnis flaviventer. The species is monotypic.
