Chestnut-bellied Cotinga (Doliornis remseni)

About the Chestnut-bellied Cotinga
The chestnut-bellied cotinga (Doliornis remseni) is a species of bird in the family Cotingidae. It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. A few late twentieth century authors merged genus Doliornis into Ampelion but multiple studies since then have confirmed its separation. The chestnut-bellied cotinga is monotypic. It shares genus Doliornis with the bay-vented cotinga (D. sclateri) and the two form a superspecies.

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 8 recordings for this species: 5 CC BY-NC-SA. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.
As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
