Slender-billed Parakeet (Enicognathus leptorhynchus)

About the Slender-billed Parakeet
The slender-billed parakeet (Enicognathus leptorhynchus) or choroy, is a species of bird in subfamily Arinae of the family Psittacidae, the African and New World parrots. It is endemic to Chile, where it is known by the local common name choroy. The slender-billed parakeet has also been named Enicognathus byroni, but the current specific epithet leptorhynchus has priority. It shares its genus with the austral parakeet (E. ferrugineus) and is monotypic.

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 35 recordings for this species: 18 CC BY-NC-SA · 17 CC BY-NC-ND. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.
As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
