About the Spectacled Fulvetta

The spectacled fulvetta (Fulvetta ruficapilla) is a bird species in the family Paradoxornithidae. Like the other typical fulvettas, it was long included in the Timaliidae genus Alcippe or in the Sylviidae. It is found in China. Its natural habitat is temperate forests. They breed from March to June. They lay clutches of 2-3 white eggs, which they incubate for 13-14 days in nests made of tree bark, withered stems, hair, thin plastic threads, and plastic sheets. Both parents participate in incubation. The hatchlings nest for 12-14 days. Parents take turns taking care of hatchlings.

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 32 recordings for this species: 30 CC BY-NC-SA · 2 CC BY-NC-ND. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.

As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
