About the Tourmaline Sunangel

The tourmaline sunangel (Heliangelus exortis) is a species of hummingbird in the "coquettes", tribe Lesbiini of subfamily Lesbiinae. It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. The tourmaline sunangel is monotypic. However, at times it has been considered conspecific with the flame-throated sunangel (H. micraster).
