'Serra do Lontras' Treehunter (Heliobletus sp.nov.Lontras)
About this bird
This taxon has not been formally described yet, so it has no scientific name and no encyclopaedia entry: xeno-canto tracks the recordings under the placeholder Heliobletus sp.nov.Lontras, and even the English name is written in quotation marks because it is provisional. xeno-canto does hold recordings of the bird — they are the evidence that it exists — and this page will fill out once the description is published.

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 11 recordings for this species: 9 CC BY-NC-SA · 2 CC BY-NC-ND. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.
As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
Listed as recorded in Brazil in the xeno-canto catalogue.
