Mussau Triller (Lalage conjuncta)
About the Mussau Triller
The Mussau triller (Lalage conjuncta) is a smaller member of the cuckooshrike family, Campephagidae. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the varied triller. It is found on the St Matthias Islands in the Bismarck Archipelago. Photographed and sound-recorded for the first time in 2024, the species is now thought to be restricted to the centre of the island and may be at risk due to logging. Taylor, P.B. 2005. We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 1 recording for this species: 1 CC BY-NC-SA. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.
As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
Listed as recorded in Papua New Guinea in the xeno-canto catalogue.
