The coppery metaltail (Metallura theresiae) is a species of hummingbird in the "coquettes", tribe Lesbiini of subfamily Lesbiinae. It is endemic to Peru. The coppery metaltail has two subspecies, the nominate M. t. theresiae and M. t. parkeri.
