The yellow-crowned whitestart (Myioborus flavivertex), Santa Marta whitestart or yellow-crowned redstart, is a species of bird in the family Parulidae, the New World warblers. It is endemic to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta of Colombia. The yellow-crowned whitestart was formally described in 1887 with the binomial Setophaga flavivertex. It is monotypic.
