The tepui antpitta or brown-breasted antpitta (Myrmothera simplex) is a species of bird in the family Grallariidae. It is found in Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. The tepui antpitta was originally described in 1884 as Grallaria simplex. It was later transferred to genus Myrmothera. At least one twentieth century author used the name "brown-breasted antpitta" for the species. The tepui antpitta has these four subspecies: M. s. pacaraimae Phelps, WH Jr & Dickerman, 1980 M. s. simplex (Salvin & Godman, 1884) M. s. guaiquinimae Zimmer, JT & Phelps, WH, 1946 M. s. duidae Chapman, 1929.
