The chestnut-backed thornbird (Phacellodomus dorsalis) is a Near Threatened species of bird in the family Furnariidae. It is endemic to Peru. The chestnut-backed thornbird is monotypic. It and the spot-breasted thornbird (P. maculipectus) are sister species.
