Grauer's Broadbill (Pseudocalyptomena graueri)

About the Grauer's Broadbill
Grauer's broadbill (Pseudocalyptomena graueri), also known as the African green broadbill, is a species of bird in the family Eurylaimidae, and is monotypic within the genus Pseudocalyptomena. Its name commemorates the German zoologist Rudolf Grauer who collected natural history specimens in the Belgian Congo. Baron Walter Rothschild, who described this species, considered it to be a flycatcher only superficially similar to the Asian broadbills of the genus Calyptomena, hence the name pseudo- or "false" Calyptomena. It is currently regarded as an actual broadbill, one of only a few African representatives of a primarily Asian family.

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 6 recordings for this species: 6 CC BY-NC-SA. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.
As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
