The hazel-fronted pygmy tyrant (Pseudotriccus simplex) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae, the tyrant flycatchers. It is found in Bolivia and Peru. The hazel-fronted pygmy tyrant is monotypic. The hazel-fronted pygmy tyrant and the bronze-olive pygmy tyrant (P. pelzelni) form a superspecies and might be conspecific.
