The equatorial akalat (Sheppardia aequatorialis) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. S. a. acholiensis: Imatong Mountains S. a. aequatorialis: eastern DRC, southern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and western Kenya.
