Cobb's Wren (Troglodytes cobbi)

About the Cobb's Wren
Cobb's wren (Troglodytes cobbi) is a fairly small (12-13.5 cm) wren which is endemic to the Falkland Islands. It was formerly classified as a subspecies of the southern house wren but is now commonly considered to be a separate species due to differences in plumage, voice, ecology and morphology. The scientific and common names commemorate Arthur Cobb, an author from the Falkland Islands.

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 20 recordings for this species: 20 CC BY-NC-SA. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.
As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
