The white-throated thrush (Turdus assimilis) is a species of bird in the family Turdidae. It is found in Mexico and Central America. It also has strayed to the southwestern United States. It previously was called the white-throated robin, a name also used for the Old World species Irania gutturalis. The white-throated thrush was originally described in 1851 with its current binomial Turdus assimilis.
