About the Olive Manakin

The olive manakin (Xenopipo uniformis) is a species of bird in the family Pipridae. It is found in Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. The olive manakin was originally described as Chloropipo uniformis. It was later assigned to genus Xenopipo that Jean Cabanis had erected in 1847. It shares that genus with the black manakin (X. atronitens). The olive manakin has two subspecies, the nominate X. u. uniformis (Salvin & Godman, 1884) and X. u. duidae (Chapman, 1929).

We only publish recordings we may use commercially, because this site is supported by ads. xeno-canto lists 7 recordings for this species: 1 CC BY-NC-SA. None of them permits commercial use, so there is no player here — the page is kept as a profile so the bird is not missing from the guide.

As soon as someone uploads a freely licensed recording, we mirror it and the player appears here.
